If you work long hours or travel a long distance, then you will need to stretch on a regular basis. You can also adjust your computer and desk so that the monitor is at eye level. This will help prevent you from straining your neck.
Smoking can increase your risk of developing neck pain. That is why if you are a smoker, then you will need to quit. Furthermore, you will need to be careful when you are carrying heavy things. The weight can put a strain on your neck.
